10 days till I become Mrs. Eli!

I can’t believe that in less then 10 days I will become Mrs. Douglas Eli, oh my goodness!!! It is so exciting and thrilling to know we are almost there.  Doug and I are so looking forward to this moment and sharing it with everyone.  Tomorrow Doug’s Mom and Dad are on there way as well as his groomsman Jason Todd and his wife Jen.  The last time that Jason and Jen were here they went on my third date with Doug and I was super nervous.  It was the first close friend’s of Doug that I was introduced to, luckily they gave him the thumbs up   I am very much looking forward to challenging them in a game of Settler’s of Catan.

Doug and I had a great weekend a few days ago.  We got a chance to do some reorganizing of our house and working on our closet by adding a shelf.  We also got to get away and do some hiking in Griffith Park where I have never been before.  We could see the Hollywood sign from one spot, and downtown LA from another.  It was quite a view that came with a breath of fresh air from all the wedding planning!  The weather was perfect and I must say I am thrilled to see our warmer temps going into the week of the wedding.  It should be a lovely Saturday coming up!

All the details are coming together with a lot of help from my mom and Doug’s mom too.  My bedroom looks like project wedding, there are bags and boxes stacked around the bed with things for the reception and week of the wedding.  I got a chance to unleash my inner glue gun creativity last night with a project for the reception centerpieces and am very pleased so far with the outcome.  You will all have to wait and see it at the reception!  Hee hee
